Have you ever dreamed of being a jockey, but you’re nervous around horses? You’ve dreamed of soaring over tall jumps in equestrian games but your scared of heights? Now is your time to shine! Bourbon City Steam is hosting the “Run For The Roses” Hobby Horse Races at this year’s “Weekend At The Races!” event in May!
Now that we’ve piqued your interest and got you all excited, you realize you’re without a trusty steed to get you to the finish line? Fear not! We will also be hosting a Hobby Horse making class! This 10 am Saturday class is limited to 13 individuals and will have everything you need to decorate your very own majestic ride, with the wooden bases created by our very own Paul Koontz! For $20 you will leave the class ready to race to the finish line and vie for your chance to win first prize!
Riders with their own steeds are also welcome. We will be posting the rules on www.bourboncitysteam.com soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more information!
Prizes will be awarded for best times (first, second and third place) as well as Best in Show!

We’re excited to see the energy and excitement on the racetrack Saturday afternoon at 4 pm, and whether you are a spectator, or on the track, we hope to see you there!
